British at heart and inspired by the pop culture that emerged partly in his country, Bourke’s usage of iconic stamps, phone boxes, politicians and Asian fans is directly derived from his everyday life and his few years’ expatriation in Singapore. He revisits the iconic objects of our time using mixed media techniques and pop colors very specific to his style.
