@charlesvilleneuve_art was recently interviewed on channel TVE 24h to discuss his current exhibition at the Fundación Ávila, hosted at the Palacio de Los Serrano in Spain.
When asked, “How long does it take you to create a piece?”, he humbly replied:
“1 to 2 weeks, plus 30 years of work!”
As an architect, designer, draftsman, and painter, Charles Villeneuve’s watercolors reveal the multifaceted nature of his kaleidoscopic, powerful, and poetic artistic identity.
“I strive to capture the atmosphere of a place through the magic of watercolor. The water and pigments blend and flow on the white paper, creating a soft tone that the brain effortlessly understands.”

Un artiste, une œuvre.
Nicolas Lefeuvre, P189.
P pour Portugal, son pays d’accueil depuis quelques années maintenant, après de nombreuses années en Asie.
Nicolas a grandi en France. Il est peintre et conteur d’histoires. Il raconte son histoire, il aide certaines marques de luxe à raconter la leur, comme il aide les enfants d’Asie du Sud-Est à dessiner la vie.
Sa technique est singulière et imprégnée de ses années vécues au Japon et en Chine, ainsi que de ses années de créateur artistique chez Chanel. Des années qui ont profondément marqué son amour pour le minimalisme, la délicatesse et l’esthétique. Il peint avec de l’encre, de l’indigo récolté dans une tribu chinoise, de la poudre d’or du Japon, des tissus de kimono, des getas, des notes de piano, des rouleaux d’usine… son inspiration est infinie.
Les ors intenses, les bleus profonds, le travail délicat des ombres, des lumières et de la transparence nous invitent à la contemplation et au voyage intérieur. On y découvre des ombres derrière cette lumière : un personnage assis, sorti d’une scène vécue ou imaginée. Le flou illustre la façon dont notre expérience sensorielle change avec le temps.
La notion de mémoire, de psychologie, de neurosciences et d’art, et la manière dont ils évoluent sous l’impact du temps, le fascinent et façonnent ses créations.
Il les explore à travers les sens jusqu’à ce qu’une narration artistique émerge. On y voit apparaître des sons, des textures, des odeurs.

Je suis heureuse de partager avec vous la richesse émotionnelle et intellectuelle de son travail et de cette œuvre en particulier, qui représente toute la beauté et la finesse de ses créations.
Notre rencontre artistique remonte à nos années passées au Japon. Je suis heureuse et fière de vous partager régulièrement ses créations à travers les expositions.
