A heartfelt thank you for being with us for the opening of Le Grand Tour. Your presence gave life, depth and resonance to this moment.
The singular artwork created live during the vernissage by the four artists — with the figure of Hermès Trismégiste painted in the background by Emi Avora — echoes, in many ways, the message of this exhibition: that travelling, whether geographically or through alterity and art, creates spaces of genuine encounter, and offers us the possibility to inhabit the world with greater openness.
To continue this dialogue around alterity, circulation and shared creation, the artwork may be acquired through a silent auction open until 14 May, in support of an association for the Children of Andes, Sacred Valley Peru .
The exhibition is part of the vOilah! France Singapore Festival @voilahsg in partnership with the Embassy of France in Singapore @franceinsg and runs until 17 May.

Un immense merci à Julie Moulin @julie_moulin_mouli_julin pour le texte sensible et profondément inspiré qui accompagnera l’exposition Le Grand Tour, dont le vernissage débute ce soir à Singapour.
Comme le voyage, l’art nous ouvre à l’inouï de l’altérité. Cette expérience qui déplace nos repères, transforme notre regard et réinvente notre manière d’être au monde.
Julie a su saisir avec une grande justesse l’essence de cette exposition, portée par des artistes qui, comme elle, partagent un lien intime avec Singapour, ville de passages, de croisements et de métamorphoses.
Autrice de plusieurs romans et nouvelles remarqués, Julie sera l’invitée d’une table ronde avec les artistes samedi à 17h dans la galerie à Singapour (participation ouverte RSVP, discussion en français ).
⭐️ LE GRAND TOUR

Immobile sur la page, j’observe le mouvement ondulatoire des phrases. Les mots sont des galets que le ressac roule sous la langue. L’encre est mon rivage. Je me laisse traverser par le texte. Comme on se laisse traverser par un paysage. Il est du voyage comme de l’ art, une manière d’éprouver notre présence au monde.
Nos corps sont des chambres d’écho et des lieux de traduction. Celui qui voyage, pour peu qu’il regarde, verra miroiter l’étrange, confrontant sa propre sensibilité à un univers différent. Il enregistrera. Il collectera des traces. Il creusera le papier et le sable. Car le voyage déplace le regard. Il décentre. Il brise et raccorde avec du fil d’or.
Il s’agit souvent d’un détail. On fera d’une vision un dieu, du réel un poème. L’infime moteur du voyage intérieur requiert une vigilance accrue des sens. Il n’est pas nécessaire d’aller très loin pour aller ailleurs. On peut se tenir immobile devant une œuvre d’art. Plonger dans un geste. Laisser se propager en nous l’esprit du Grand Tour. ⭐️

Un mouvement qui parle pour l’émotion.
Avec son regard singulier, le photographe Gérard Uféras capte ces instants où le corps répond instinctivement à l’œuvre, avant même les mots.
Observateur attentif, presque en coulisses, il révèle ce qui nous échappe parfois :
