In 1963, Marguerite Duras acquired an apartment at Les Roches Noires in Trouville-sur-Mer, where she stayed regularly until 1994 and wrote several of her novels.
With his series “Les Roches Noires”, Benjamin Deroche revisits this mythical place through the lens of photography. His images become pages of light, echoing Duras’s inner landscapes.

Today, I choose to follow a dream, a vision.
The one from the very first moments, 16 years ago, when I founded in Hong Kong Clémentine de Forton Gallery (originally Artemiss Contemporary).
After all these years of projects, exhibitions, and shared experiences across the world and its cultures, I can now affirm with conviction that art is an encounter, a presence, a dialogue. And that a warm, intimate environment nurtures this encounter.
That is why, in addition to various exhibitions, I have decided to open in Barcelona, in the Sarrià neighborhood, a permanent showroom: a space to experience art as if at home.
A place to contemplate artworks, sit on a sofa, exchange around the language of art, and discover how an artist can transform our way of seeing the world. To move from a simple glance to a profound conversation, to come back again, to draw closer, to cross the space, to witness how the light metamorphoses the work and gives it another face — and then to feel this work settle within you, like a precious encounter placed in the space of the heart.
This is the experience I wish to share with you through this showroom: an emotional and intellectual encounter around exceptional contemporary artworks that you may also take with you.
I accompany you on this journey, in your dreams and projects — personal or professional — throughout the entire procurement process, and always in a spirit of co-creation.
📍 The showroom is located in Sarrià, Barcelona, and I welcome you by appointment.
