Diving into the subtle depth of his paintings.
Nicolas Lefeuvre’s work is rooted in silence and abstract expressionism, where multi-sensory memory and neuroscience shape his creative process.
He explores the tension between clarity and obscurity, using blur, fragmentation, and layered pigments to express the fluid, elusive nature of recollection.
Working primarily with indigo ink and metallic gold powder in his “Land(e)scape” series, his paintings emerge like tides on raw cotton, guided by gesture and intuition.
His years in Asia continue to influence his visual language - precise, minimalist, and contemplative.
Each painting becomes both a horizon and a depth, where matter and memory converge.
