In a world where everything is accessible at the click of a button, we risk forgetting how to dream. At Clémentine de Forton Gallery, art is not just about aesthetics — it’s a mission. A mission to serve the beautiful and the good, to bring meaning back into our lives, and to remind us of the essential. “Because in this fast-moving world, we don’t just need more content —we need more soul” she says.
Art as a Gateway to the Sacred
Curator and art agent Clémentine de Forton believes in the transformative power of art. Her nomades gallery is dedicated to artists who explore the invisible, the poetic, and the spiritual. Through her project Utopian Drama, she presents art that reconnects us with beauty and with ourselves.
Drawing from her own journey in both the artistic and spiritual realms, Clémentine’s approach is deeply intentional. From sculpture to photography to abstract painting, the works she exhibits invite us to pause and feel. She represents artists like Myriam de Lafforest, Nicolas Lefeuvre, Benjamin Deroche, and Charles Villeneuve, each offering a unique path into emotion, memory, and nature.
Building Bridges Through Art
During her early career at BNP Paribas, Clémentine was profoundly moved by an immersive exhibition held at the London office: Yann Arthus-Bertrand’s “6 Billion Others”. This groundbreaking project collected thousands of video testimonies from individuals around the world, each answering the question: “Who are you?”
The experience was a revelation — a vivid reminder of our shared humanity, told through the lens of personal stories and diverse cultures. It planted the seed for Clémentine’s mission today: to create bridges between artists, collectors, and institutions, and to position art not just as a luxury, but as a vital, human necessity.
These kinds of collaborations between art and companies reveal the transformative power of creative partnerships. They elevate a brand’s cultural engagement while bringing meaningful contributions to society at large.
The Power of Gentleness
Clémentine speaks often of “the power of gentleness.” In times of acceleration and overstimulation, gentleness becomes a radical act — one that opens space for contemplation, connection, and transformation. Her exhibitions embody this philosophy, inviting visitors to slow down and enter into a dialogue with the unseen.
“Art is a way to invite us to dream,” she says. “And in a world where everything is instantly accessible, dreaming has become a fundamental human need.”
Looking Ahead: Utopian Drama in Singapore
The next chapter unfolds in Singapore, from May 2 to May 26, with the exhibition Utopian Drama. This immersive show will feature a live painting performance by Nicolas Lefeuvre within the gallery itself. This unique work will not only celebrate artistic creation in real time — but also carry a purpose:
a portion of its sale will be donated to ANAK-NK, a foundation supporting children’s education and futures in Indonesia.
With this gesture, Clémentine once again affirms her belief that art can heal, connect, and uplift — not just individually, but collectively.
Because in this fast-moving world, we don’t just need more content —we need more soul.
